Campus Visits Throughout the Spring

Every Bendetson staff member contributed in one way or another to a very successful spring visit season. Between the months of January and April, a total of 14,925 prospective students and their families visited the Medford/Somerville campus for and information session and/or tour. The number of high school juniors and sophomores visiting during these months (6,210 prospective students) increased 3.6% over last year.

Each spring the admissions staff hosts admitted student on campus in order to help these student decide if Tufts is “right” for them. This year we hosted a total of 532 admitted students for one of our three April Open House programs. Students attending an April Open House program had the opportunity to observe the academic climate on campus, listen to panels of students and administrators, eat in the dining halls, tour campus and check out various student clubs and organizations. We welcomed 67 admitted students on campus for Day Host visits where the student had the opportunity to sit in on a class, have lunch with a student and attend a Question and Answer session with a current student and an admissions officer.

Prospective students and their families learn about war photojournalism from Professor Paul Joseph during April Open House.
