April Open House (AOH)

On-campus AOH events are scheduled for 3 days later this month – April 18th, April 24th & April 25th.  Overnight opportunities hosted by current Tufts students coincide with each of the AOH days, beginning on the evening before each of the events (4/17, 4/23 & 4/24).

Our goal via the AOH programming is to empower each prospective student with the context to identify with Tufts, and to embrace the university as a potential home.  An AOH experience allows our admitted students and families the opportunity to explore Tufts’ community and its culture in real time. Our visitors have a day-long pass to live and learn like a Tufts student.  The AOH programming makes it comfortable for prospective students and parents to engage Tufts on their own terms, and to understand it through their own lens.  We make it easy for our visitors to know current students, to engage professors, and to witness first hand the intellectual, cultural, social and extracurricular vibrancy of the Tufts community.

Please do what you can to promote our AOH events to the admitted students that are on your TAAP docket.

Admitted Student Receptions

Beginning next week six off campus Spring Receptions will be held for admitted students.  This year, the number of Spring Receptions organized by the admissions office has been pared down as a way to encourage more of our admitted students to visit Tufts and attend on-campus AOH events.  The receptions organized by the admissions office and hosted by various alumni will be held in: New York City; Chevy Chase, MD; Chicago, IL; Palo Alto, CA; London, England; Los Angeles, CA.  In addition, a handful of TAAP committees beyond those affiliated with the above events, have graciously decided to host their own admitted student gatherings.  Whether attending an admitted student reception or getting in touch with your admitted interviewees, any effort you make to help Tufts capture the minds and hearts of our admitted students is tremendously appreciated.

TAAP Survey

Later this month you will each receive a link to an online survey about TAAP.  We are in the midst of auditing and updating the programmatic structure of TAAP, and we very much hope to use your input to help us in this endeavor.  TAAP is a longstanding and highly valued program - and with your thoughts, ideas and concerns taken into account as it is updated, we will fine tune its weaknesses and do our best to build on its strengths.  When you receive an e-mail granting you access to the TAAP survey, please take the time to respond.
